Code of Responsible Conduct

He Tīwai Mātauranga Heaton Normal Intermediate School is committed, through its Health, Safety, and Welfare Policy to provide a safe and healthy physical and emotional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

School Policies 

Heaton works on a subscription basis with SchoolDocs to maintain, update, and review our policies and procedures. SchoolDocs provides us with a comprehensive core set of policies that have been well researched, follow the Ministry of Education National Administration Guidelines, and are tailored to our school.

Policy Review 

Parents can access and give feedback on our policies and procedures anytime. A three-year review cycle means they remain current and responsive to changes in legislation or Ministry guidelines, significant events, reviews/requests from schools, and regular reviewing from the SchoolDocs team. We will advise you when policies are up for review through our school newsletter and how you can take part.
