The BOT has the overall responsibility for the governance of the school and delegates the day to day management to the Principal and staff. The main concerns of the Board are policy development, strategic planning, management of funds, overseeing employment decisions, maintenance of school buildings and grounds and ensuring the health and safety of students, staff, parents and school visitors. The Board reports to the school community and to the Ministry of Education on a regular basis.
The BOT meets monthly. Members of our school community are welcome to attend any Board meeting. The BOT can be contacted in writing or by using the following email address: BOT@heaton.school.nz
Board members are elected by parents for a one to three year term. Board of Trustee Elections were held in Term 3 2019. The current Board Members are:
