Heaton Celebrates Schools’ Pride Week

From June 2nd–6th, Heaton proudly celebrated Schools Pride Week—a meaningful time for our kura to affirm that all rainbow students, staff, and whānau are welcome and valued here. Throughout the week, students were offered a variety of lunchtime activities, including sidewalk chalk art and a collaborative pride flag that they could choose to contribute to.

Te Kamata also hosted the Out on the Shelves initiative, showcasing our collection of rainbow-friendly books and inviting students to help select new titles to add.
