Heaton Girls’ play a tremendous tournament to finish 2nd in 2018 National Primary School Shield.
The National Primary School Shield provided our Heaton girls’ with the opportunity to play cricket amongst friends, and to test their skills against schools from within Canterbury and across the country.
The tournament was held at the NZC High-Performance Centre in Lincoln from 22nd – 24th of November. The six regional winners from around the country contested in five 20/20 matches.
Our Heaton team played brilliantly over the three competition days, recording four wins from five matches, and finishing second overall to a very strong Morrinsville Intermediate. We are so proud of you ladies!
A huge thank you must go out to our coach Barry van Beurten for sharing his passion and expertise with our students. Thank you so much for your dedication and continued support.
