International Student Application
Download and complete the enrolment forms below or contact the school office on: +64 03 355 9555 or email: Please ensure relevant passport/visa details of student and parent are attached.

Step #2

School Advises Enrolment Potential
When enrolment documentation is received an assessment will be made based on;
  • The student’s suitability for Heaton school
  • The student’s proposed living situation

An invoice will be sent to the applicant if a place is available at the school.

Step #3

Parent/Caregiver and Student/Agent Interview
Either at this point or after all documentation has been finalised, an interview will be held with the potential student, their parent/caregiver and or agent. If an interview is not possible email communication will be the alternative. This may take place with the agent. During the interview the Code of Practice will be explained and the International Student Learner Profile will be completed.

Step #4

Documents Finalised and Checked
Passports, current visas and insurance for the parent/caregiver and student are checked.

Step #5

Offer of Place and Receipt of Payment Issued
When payment has been received, the school will issue documentation to be used for a visa application to Immigration New Zealand. Students and parents must have appropriate health and travel insurance. At this point, the EOTC (Education Outside The Classroom) and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) forms must be completed.

Step #6

School Orientation
An orientation meeting will be arranged to support the students and parents and welcome them to our school and community. Stationery packs and uniforms will be organised at this time if necessary.

Step #7

Parents/caregivers must provide the school with evidence (letter from Immigration New Zealand) that they have applied for a visa dedicated to Heaton Normal Intermediate within one week of the Offer of Place being issued.
