Heaton joins forces with the White Ferns

Heaton 1st XI learns from the best!

Our NZ White Ferns began their preparations for the 2017  ICC Women’s World Cup with a training camp at the Lincoln High Performance Centre.

As a school, we were incredibly fortunate to be part of this experience. Our Heaton Girls 1st XI were provided with an opportunity of a lifetime, and spent the day with the players to observe their training sessions, have a meet and greet, and get a taste of what it takes at this elite level.

To have the White Ferns make time for us during such an important part of their preparation was simply outstanding! We would like to thank Anjana Patel (NZ Cricket Game Development Advisor), Ben Ramsay (Community Cricket Coordinator), and all of the players and coaching staff for this amazing opportunity!

I would also like to extend my appreciation to Coach Barry and our parent helpers for their support.
