Heaton Normal Intermediate School has developed a very strong sporting focus. It is our intention to ensure that Heaton students have the opportunity to involve themselves in a variety of sporting contexts.
Class, house and school competitions are available for all students.
All traditional sporting codes are offered at weekly intermediate schools' competitions and tournaments. Heaton also competes in a variety of after school competitions. Our school’s involvement in the New Zealand Association of Intermediate and Middle Schools (AIMS) competition provides a fantastic opportunity for our students to compete against the best students of their age group at a national level.
The school's sporting success can be directly attributed to the dedication of a large number of very competent, highly motivated staff and the generous support of parents.
